LOCATION: Perpich Center for Arts Education, 6125 Olson Memorial Highway,
Golden Valley, MN 55422

Topics include: Score set up, note entry, entering markings, typing in lyrics, Linked Parts, page layout, scanning, easy
transposition, Tempo Tap, instant orchestration, creating flash cards, creating an exercise sheet, record or import an audio file,
creating your own SmartMusic accompaniments, Auto-Harmonizer, Latin percussion, save as an audio file (burn to a CD).
Basic computer skills required. Workshop uses MAC computers. Bring a project to work on.

OPTIONAL CEU or GRADUATE CREDIT AVAILABLE:
1 graduate semester credit is available through Hamline University
(additional payment of $115 due on the first day of class).

GarageBand to CUBASE


If you haven't been using a a sequencing program, it's time for a serious look. Garage Band, for new Mac computers offers many possibilities for you and your students. Steinberg's Cubase SE, available for both Mac & Windows, is very affordable with lots of features: unlimited MIDI tracks, 48 audio tracks, both with comprehensive editing and effects at pro quality 24-bit/96kHz resolution. PrintMusic! & Friends Workshop - Training


Using a MIDI keyboard, learn how to create, transpose and print sheet music quickly and easily using PrintMusic! Create automatic rhythm section accompaniments in Band-in-a-Box by typing in chord changes, choosing the style and instrumentation. Learn how to import/export files between the two programs for powerful printing and accompaniment applications. Experience playing standard MIDI files through hardware and software sequencers. Bring a project to work on.
